Raised to be Insecure
First we have to normalize insecurity. I believe it was the infamous poet and philosopher, Kanye West, that once said, “We are all self conscious, I’m just the first to admit it.”
It is not your fault and you are not broken. If you were raised by safe parents and if you strived in your upbringing the end result was that you are supposed to come out self conscious in some way.
You upbringing was supposed to teach you 3 things:
How to survive.
How to socialize.
How to fit in society.
Read through this infographic to learn how your upbringing causes you to be insecure and review the 3 practices that allow us to cope with our insecurities.
